$40 a month or $360 a year: which JV plan is right for you?
JV Fitness keeps pricing about as simple as a gym can: $40 a month, $20 every two weeks, or $360 for a full year paid once. No contract either way, and no annual fee tacked on top. The only real decision is which of those fits how you actually pay for things and how sure you are that you will keep coming.
The three ways to pay
- $40 a month, month to month — cancel or pause whenever, no notice period spelled out beyond just letting us know.
- $20 bi-weekly — the same monthly cost, split to land closer to a paycheck.
- $360 a year, one payment — works out to $30 a month, a $120 saving versus paying $40 every month for twelve months.
What “no contract, no annual fee” actually means
There is no agreement locking you into a term, and no separate yearly charge added on top of your plan the way some gyms bill it. On the monthly plan you are paying for access one period at a time. On the yearly plan you are pre-paying twelve months at a lower rate, in exchange for committing the money up front — that is the whole trade.
Who should pick monthly
- You are trying the gym out and want to see if the hours, the equipment and the vibe actually fit your routine first.
- You are a seasonal Cape Coral resident and are not sure yet how many months you will actually be in town.
- Your schedule or your income changes month to month and you would rather not pre-pay a full year.
Who should pick the year
If you already know you are going to keep showing up, the year is the better deal — $30 a month instead of $40, for the same 24/7 access. Snowbirds who spend a real season here should just do the honest math: at $40 a month, four months costs $160; if you are here five months or more, the math starts to favor the year even before you count the extra months of access you might not use every one of but keep anyway.
Bi-weekly, for paycheck alignment
$20 bi-weekly is the same $40 a month split into two, aimed at anyone who gets paid every two weeks and would rather the gym payment land the same way instead of sitting between paychecks. It is not cheaper than the monthly plan — it is just timed differently.
The referral: how it stacks against the monthly price
Bring a friend, and once they join you get $10 off your next month — no limit on how many times that stacks. Two friends in one month brings your $40 payment down to $20; enough friends and a monthly member can get close to the yearly member’s effective rate without pre-paying anything. It is worth mentioning to anyone you know who has been talking about joining a gym anyway.
Personal training, as an add-on
One-on-one sessions with Jean sit outside all three membership plans and are priced separately by package, built around your goals, your fitness level and your schedule. Ask by text, phone or at the front desk during staff hours — there is no fixed rate to compare here, because the program is not fixed either.
Side by side
| Plan | Price | Effective per month | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $40 | $40 | Trying it out, uncertain schedule, short seasonal stays |
| Bi-weekly | $20 / 2 weeks | $40 | Paycheck alignment |
| Yearly | $360 / year | $30 | You know you will keep going; longer seasonal stays |
How to sign up
Text 239-257-1471 first to say which plan you want (or that you would like to see the gym), then come by during staff hours — Monday to Friday 9 AM to 7 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM. Sign-up takes a few minutes in person; credit, debit and tap to pay are all accepted, and there is no online option yet.
Check with your doctor before starting a new training program, whichever plan you choose — the pricing question and the training-safety question are separate ones.
There is no wrong plan here — just the one that matches how sure you are you will keep coming, and how you would rather pay for it. Not sure? Start monthly, and switch to the year whenever it starts to look like the better deal.
